Shoutout for This Week: Ron Jung on Vision-Driven Education: Cultivating Excellence in Schools

Ron Jung, a seasoned educational leader from Green Bay, Wisconsin, has left an indelible mark on classical Christian education. Serving as Headmaster of Providence Academy for 13 years, Ron transitioned into his current role as Headmaster Emeritus, focusing on helping schools, families, and churches apply faith-based principles to all aspects of life. As the Founder and Senior Fellow of the Palatine Institute, Ron continues to inspire others by fostering a vision for cultivating a robust Christian culture.

Throughout his leadership at Providence Academy, Ron emphasized the importance of aligning every aspect of school operations with a clear vision. He passionately believes schools thrive when their mission and strategy are cohesive, guiding decision-making and inspiring educators and families. Under his leadership, Providence Academy flourished by focusing on its mission to partner with parents in raising godly leaders who will impact the world for Christ. This unwavering commitment allowed the school to achieve long-term growth and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Ron also highlights schools’ challenges, such as balancing competing demands and maintaining a strong culture. He advocates for leaders to be bold, strategic, and willing to make difficult decisions in service of their vision. “Success is when you do what you say you’re going to do,” Ron says, underscoring that true success lies in fulfilling the mission, not merely increasing enrollment or adding programs.

As a consultant, Ron brings his expertise to schools, helping them rediscover their vision, develop effective strategies, and navigate challenges. His insights into school leadership, board governance, and the critical role of culture have been invaluable to many.

In addition to consulting, Ron hosts the podcast The Cord of Three Strands, where he shares wisdom and inspires others to build thriving Christian institutions.
