Shoutout for This Week: Navigating Tradition & Transformation: Dr. David Stanton’s Leadership at Oakdale

Dr. David Stanton is a visionary leader shaping the future of classical Christian education in Oakdale County. As headmaster of a growing school, he has dedicated his career to strengthening faith-based learning and guiding students toward wisdom, truth, and service.

His path to leadership is remarkable. After teaching in both Christian and public schools, he felt called to return to a faith-centered environment. In 2019, he stepped into his role as headmaster just before the COVID-19 pandemic tested schools everywhere. Even while deployed overseas with the Navy Reserve, Dr. Stanton continued leading the school remotely, proving his unwavering commitment to education and service.

Under his leadership, the school has launched innovative programs that empower students and parents. The Student Ambassador Program gives students leadership roles by having them guide school tours, allowing them to develop confidence and communication skills. Meanwhile, Oakdale U educates parents on classical Christian education, ensuring families stay engaged in their children’s learning journey.

Dr. Stanton believes that a school’s mission should be its guiding force. Thanks to his leadership, this classical Christian school continues to provide a strong foundation for students to grow in faith, wisdom, and service to their communities.
