Kyle Rapinchuk, the new Head of School at Sager Classical Academy, is a true expert in Christian education. He recently joined our podcast to share his big ideas. With 12 years of experience, he taught Bible and other important subjects at the College of the Ozarks. He also helped create school lessons, showing he has a lot of experience. He felt a calling to lead and help others, which is why he became an administrator.
Teaching a Christian Worldview
Rapinchuk believes that faith shouldn’t be limited to just Bible class. He says that because God made everything, we can see Him in all subjects. In history, for example, we see how God has been in charge all along. In math, we can see the beautiful patterns God put in the world. He wants students to see God’s hand in everything they learn.
Building Trust and Community
The importance of being clear and having a plan is something Rapinchuk often emphasizes. He says that when you set clear rules, it actually helps people feel safe and free to learn and grow. He compares it to a fence on a high island; the fence keeps everyone safe so they can play without fear. This way, teachers feel confident and students feel comfortable asking questions. A favorite part of his job is when students ask hard questions. Instead of just giving the answer, he encourages them to seek help from their parents or pastors. He wants to teach them how to find answers independently.
A Legacy of Learning
Rapinchuk’s passion for Christian education and his ability to connect with people make him a fantastic leader. His goal is to help schools and students grow. He wants to help a new generation learn more about God and the world around them.
