Kimberly Wilson, founder, CEO, and Head of School at Academy31, is redefining education for young women in Raleigh, North Carolina. With over two decades of experience in Christian education and a steadfast passion for discipleship, Kimberly is on a mission to develop godly young women of character and competence.
Her career spans teaching students from preschool to high school, serving in administrative roles, and mentoring through biblical counseling. Each step of her journey reflects a deep commitment to blending faith with academic excellence. This dedication laid the foundation for Academy31, an all-female private Christian school.
The vision for Academy31 began with inspiration from Iron Academy, a successful all-male Christian school in Raleigh. Seeing the need for a similar discipleship-based environment for young women, Kimberly partnered with Iron Academy and began her mission. Through tireless prayer, networking, and sheer determination, she secured the resources to transform this vision into a reality.
Launching Academy31 has not been without challenges, particularly in funding and logistics. Kimberly’s careful planning ensured the school met its initial financial goals, allowing her to confidently assure families the school would open as promised. Her leadership has attracted incredible donor support, a strong teaching staff, and enthusiastic families who believe in the Academy31 mission.
At its core, Academy31 is about more than academics—it’s about creating a nurturing environment where young women can thrive spiritually, socially, and intellectually. Kimberly’s vision includes a unique biblical womanhood program designed to guide students in applying God’s truths to real-life challenges, fostering a strong community of faith and mentorship.
Kimberly Wilson’s story is a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of a clear mission. Through her leadership, generations of young women are set to embark on a transformative educational journey that equips them for lives of purpose and impact.
